FORTITUDE - January 2007 - Issue #12

Welcome back once again everyone and Happy New Year! first off I want to mention 2007 is going to be an awesome year, EVOLUTION 2007! Many people make resolutions to make their lives better for whatever goals they may have it could losing body fat, gaining muscle, get stronger, buying an apartment, buying a house, saving money in savings, maximizing 401K, getting a girlfriend/boyfriend, plus many other goals. What I have found is that these are all AWESOME goals, but do we all obtain these by the end of each year we set these resolutions? Maybe, yes or not at all. What I have found is that resolutions tend to be temporary and EVOLUTIONS are PERMANENT! In humans, a new stimulus becomes part of us by the process of evolution into bettering whatever we desire. So in setting your 2007 goals by the process of Evolution and see what happens at the end of the year. Many of you that are training with me will reap your benefits at your goal deadline! Two of you femme fatales will be competing in the November 2007 USA Weightlifting Competition in New Jersey, you know who you are: Dena Verrigni and Jan Stone! You two have specific weightlifting goals that will allow you to EVOLVE to a point better than you have been in your whole life. This is specifically a performance event, therefore these women must maximize their technique and skill. Being that I am a USAW Club Coach I will be coaching and guiding them to their success. I am excited to see you both on the lifting platform in November 2007! By the way these two woman have body fat below 18%, so that is why I call them femme fatales, maximizing both their movement performance and aesthetic appearance. Lets ROCK Dena and Jan, EVOLUTION 2007!

I would encourage you to spend some time setting your 2007 Evolution Goals and get a nice journal to help you write down your thoughts in allowing your mind to self-reflect your progress of everything you want in 2007 and more. I have been doing the last three months in evolving myself to a point better than I ever was. And I continue to do this everyday. One thing that this journal has helped me tremendously is the ability to see how I think. Sometimes I go back and read what I write and it is very interesting to read it! I then reflect those written thoughts in allowing myself to change the way for bettering myself which has allowed me to EVOLVE to a point where I can control thoughts I never thought possible. I highly recommend you all do this. Do you ever wonder how much time we spend everyday on taking care of your clients, other people at work, family and many other circumstances. But do you ever spend time to take care of yourself? Which includes your thoughts that you put off to "when I have time", which almost never arises. How about writing in your journal at least two or three times a week so you can take care of yourself and your thoughts. I also recommend going out buying yourself a copy of Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill read it and answer all 61 self-analysis questions on page 224. This will get you started on writing in your journal. Let me know how this works out, as I'll be interested how this will allow you to EVOLVE!.
